Message Board – The Village has erected a message board (built by local timber-framer Dale Gray) outside the Village office at 423 Davies Ave. This is a place to catch up on Village business. Hopefully now that we are officially identified as the Village Office, our staff will no longer be requested to perform minor surgical procedures!
Utility Bills – Utility Bills were mailed out at the beginning of January– if you have not received yours, please contact the Village Office. Accounts paid by January 31st are eligible for 10% discount, payments received after this date will not receive the discount.
Snow-Plowing – The Village is requesting that residents remove their vehicles from boulevards in order to assist the Public Works Crew in their ongoing snow-plowing efforts. Fritz and his team are coming in at 4 a.m. to keep the roads clear for us.
Licence Renewals – Both Dog Licences and Business Licences expire on December 31 2010. Please renew your licence as soon as possible.
Mayor and Council – Mayor Henderson will be in the office every Monday from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. If you have concerns or suggestions you would like to discuss with her, please call the Village Office at 357-9433 to arrange an appointment. Council meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. at 423 Davies Avenue in the Council Chambers. Upcoming meetings will be on February 8th & 22nd and March 8th and 22nd.
Attending A Council Meeting as a Delegation – An application to present to Village Council must be submitted in writing by 4:30 p.m. prior to the meeting. Each delegation is limited to 15 minutes.
WaterSmart Tip - Due to the extremely cold weather many of us leave our taps running through the night...if you can not insulate the water pipes effectively make sure your tap is on at a mere trickle. Otherwise, we are pouring away gallons of water needlessly.
